The Environment & Sustainability Committee at Labelmakers Group is charting the course for a greener future and the business is well and truly on the journey. The road map focuses on six key pillars with landfill minimisation a core component of the strategy. In 2015, the business set a stretch target for its Somerton facility to reduce GHG emissions by 30% by 2020.
This emissions intensity target has been achieved ahead of schedule. At the same time, process waste going to landfill has been reduced by 20% since 2016, despite a significant increase in materials being processed through the facility. With an array of sustainability projects in the pipeline, we look forward to sharing more over coming months.
Providing environmentally optimised and
sustainable solutions that are relevant to the
market in which it operates.
Accordingly, Labelmakers seeks to work actively and co-operatively with the key stakeholders – raw material suppliers, brand-owners, recycling companies, governments and the community – in order to provide environmentally optimised and sustainable solutions that are relevant to the markets in which it operates.
