Crown Lager has been recognised as Australia's finest premium lager since it was first commissioned to honour visiting dignitaries in 1919. Launched to the public in 1954 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11, Crown Lager has built an enduring legacy in the premium beer category.
 
The gold label and distinctive bottle shape, along with its heritage credentials, identify Crown Lager as unique within the Australian beer landscape.
 
In recent years, the growth and variety of imported beers available, and their perception as boutique and better quality, has impacted on Crown's dominance within the category. As part of a strategy to re-ignite passion for the brand and position it for healthy growth into the future, Davidson Branding was briefed to refresh the packaging.  The key objectives were to contemporise and modernise the brand, while retaining its heritage cues and integrity.
 
Labelmakers using its latest combination print technology and working with ink suppliers to push the boundaries in a new metalized presentation, together we were able to meet the brand expectation to achieve this modern 'bling' while maintaining Crown's proud history.
